Random number generator

Set a minimum, a maximum and how many numbers you want. Tick "no repeats" for a draw without duplicates, such as picking raffle winners, and "sort" to see the numbers in order.

Up to 1,000 at a time.

  2. Choose how many numbers you need, up to 1,000.
  3. Tick "No repeats" and "Sort" if you want unique or ordered results, then press Generate.
  4. Copy the numbers, or press Generate again for a fresh draw.

Good to know

  • Numbers come from the browser's cryptographically secure generator with rejection sampling, so every value in the range is equally likely.
  • The list uses plain digits without thousands separators so it pastes cleanly into spreadsheets.

Frequently asked questions

Are the minimum and maximum included?

Yes. The range is inclusive at both ends, so 1 to 6 behaves like a six-sided die and can return 1 or 6. Negative numbers work too: a range of -10 to 10 has 21 possible values. Decimals are not supported, so enter whole numbers only and divide the result yourself if you need fractions.

How random are the numbers?

The generator uses the cryptographically secure random source built into your browser (crypto.getRandomValues) together with rejection sampling, which avoids the slight bias a simple modulo operation introduces. Every value in the range has exactly the same chance. If that source is unavailable it falls back to Math.random, which is fine for games but not for security.

What does "no repeats" do?

With no repeats on, each value appears at most once, like drawing numbered balls without putting them back. That is what you want for raffle winners, seat assignments or lottery-style picks. The count can then be no larger than the number of values in the range, otherwise the tool shows an error instead of guessing.

Can I generate a lot of numbers at once?

You can generate up to 1,000 numbers per click. They are shown separated by commas and spaces so they paste cleanly into a spreadsheet or a message, and the Copy button grabs the whole list. For larger datasets, generate several batches or use a spreadsheet formula such as RANDBETWEEN.

Does the page store or send my numbers?

No. Everything runs inside your browser; nothing is uploaded, logged or shared. The numbers change only when you press Generate, so you can edit the settings without the result jumping around, and reloading the page produces a new draw. Copy the result if you need to keep a record.
